Mariana Castro
SENIOR CONSULTANT LATIN AMERICA
Mariana joined Social Finance International in January 2025 as a Senior Consultant in based in Bogota.
Since joining Social Finance, she has been working with FCDO in and DESNZ on thinking through opportunities to promote and enable greater use of outcomes-based approaches in clean cooking programming.
Before joining Social Finance Mariana worked as a consultant at Dalberg where she focused on conducting market analysis to identify barriers, opportunities, and growth potential in sectors such as climate change, energy and access to finance.
Through detailed assessments, she has supported organizations, including USAID, the Colombian government, in making informed decisions that drive sustainable interventions. In addition to her work in market analysis, Mariana has provided strategic support to organizations, like the Rockefeller Foundation and Open Society Foundations by helping design, and refine programmatic strategies, and investment opportunities.
Mariana holds a dual bachelor´s degree in economics and government and public Affairs from the Universidad de los Andes (Colombia). Mariana is fluent in English and Spanish.
